SSC MTS Data Entry Operator Job Profile

One of the job profiles offered through this exam is that of a Data Entry Operator (DEO). The DEO job profile is very important as it involves handling and managing a vast amount of data for the government.

A Data Entry Operator is responsible for entering and updating information in computer systems and databases. They are expected to maintain accuracy and speed while inputting data. The role typically involves tasks such as data entry, data verification, sorting, and filing. DEOs often work with software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and other government databases.

They can apply for promotions to higher-level positions such as Senior Data Entry Operator or Assistant Section Officer (ASO). As ASOs, they may have broader responsibilities, including administrative tasks and supervising a team of DEOs.
