The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is one of the most significant financial institutions in the country, and the Grade B post is the most coveted job in the Indian banking sector. The post of RBI Grade B officer is a difficult and time-consuming process, but it can be achieved with hard work and dedication. RBI Grade B Selection Process

The selection process for RBI Grade B Officer involves three stages:

– Phase I – Preliminary Examination
– Phase II – Mains Examination
– Phase III – Interview

Phase I – Preliminary Examination

The RBI Grade B Prelim Exam is an online examination consisting of objective-type questions. The exam is of 200 marks, and the time duration is 120 minutes. The test is divided into four sections:

– General Awareness
– English Language
– Quantitative Aptitude
– Reasoning Ability

The marks obtained in this exam are only for qualification purposes, and they are not added to the final merit list.

Phase II – Mains Examination

The second phase of the selection process is the Mains Examination. The exam is conducted online, and it consists of three papers:

Paper I – Economic and Social Issues (100 marks)

Paper II – English (100 marks)

Paper III – Finance and Management (100 marks)

The time duration for each paper is 90 minutes. The exam is descriptive, and candidates need to write their answers in a descriptive manner.

Phase III – Interview

The final stage of the selection process is the interview. Candidates who clear the Mains examination are called for the interview round. The maximum marks for the interview are 50 marks.

General Awareness is one of the most critical sections of the RBI Grade B Exam. The questions in this section are frequently asked from the following topics:

English Language
