LIC ADO Exam Syllabus

If you are planning to appear for the LIC ADO exam, it is crucial to be familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern. The LIC ADO exam is divided into three phases: the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and the Interview. Each phase has a different syllabus and pattern, and it is essential to understand them to prepare well for the exam.

Preliminary Exam:

The preliminary exam consists of three sections: Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language. The duration of the exam is one hour, and it consists of 100 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. The section-wise syllabus is as follows:

Reasoning Ability: This section tests your logical and analytical skills. The syllabus includes topics such as coding-decoding, puzzles, blood relations, syllogism, alphanumeric series, etc.

Numerical Ability: This section tests your mathematical skills. The syllabus includes topics such as number system, simplification, data interpretation, percentage, ratio and proportion, etc.

English Language: This section tests your language skills. The syllabus includes topics such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, error detection, etc.

Main Exam:

The main exam consists of two sections: Objective and Descriptive. The duration of the objective section is two hours, and it consists of 150 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. The syllabus and pattern for the objective section are as follows:

Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude: This section tests your reasoning and computer knowledge. The syllabus includes topics such as seating arrangement, puzzles, coding-decoding, blood relations, data sufficiency, networking, MS office, etc.

General Awareness: This section tests your knowledge of current affairs and general knowledge. The syllabus includes topics such as economics, banking, national and international news, sports, history, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: This section tests your mathematical skills. The syllabus includes topics such as number system, simplification, data interpretation, percentage, ratio and proportion, quadratic equations, etc.

English Language: This section tests your language skills. The syllabus includes topics such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, error detection, etc.

The descriptive section consists of two questions: Letter writing and Essay writing. The duration of this section is 30 minutes, and the total marks are 25.

Interview:

The interview is the final phase of the LIC ADO exam. The candidates who clear the preliminary and main exams are called for an interview. The interview is primarily a personality test and tests your communication skills, leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities. The total marks for the interview are 37.
