The Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) is a mandatory paper in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for selection into the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), and Indian Foreign Services (IFS). The weightage of the General Studies section has been increased to better test the candidate’s knowledge on various subjects related to Indian Polity, Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environment, Science, and Technology, and General Knowledge.
