Age Relaxation – TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
(i) For Differently Abled Persons: The differently abled persons can eligible for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment for 10 years The specific age limit is shown above here in this table.
(ii) For Ex-servicemen.
(a) For EX – servicemen having less than 53 years or just an age limit of 35 years belonging to SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC, and BCM are eligible for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
(b) The maximum age criteria is 48 years for “others” (i.e) candidates that are not sectionized for any of the above-said categories.
(c) The above-mentioned age relaxation will not be applicable for the Ex-Servicemen candidates who have already been recruited to any class or service or category.
Note: (i) “Others” i.e. candidates who are not coming under SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, and BCMs or who have done their service in State / Central Government for 5 years are not eligible to apply this TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment even though that have an age limit.
Educational Qualification – TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
Candidates who are applying for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment should have the following or their equivalent qualification
Candidates should be holding any degree from any of the universities under the Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or any other Educational Institution established under an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
Note (i) The qualification mentioned for these posts is that the candidates should pass 10th + HSC or its equivalent + U.G. degree with a minimum passing mark. Apart from these standardized board qualifications if the candidates have other equal certifications are eligible for those posts given in this table below: –

TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment – Strong Knowledge in Tamil
Aspirants applying for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment should have a vast knowledge of Tamil as per the TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment guidelines.
Physical Qualification – TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment
Aspirants applying for TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service) must consider the following Physical Qualifications.

TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment – Certificate for Physical Qualification
Those who are opting for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services) should give a certificate signed by a Medical Officer of/or above the rank of an Assistant Surgeon those who are to be admitted to the Main Written Examination. The appointment for these followings above ranks is decided by the Government to the Government Medical Institution obtained on or after 20.01.2020.

But in some exceptional cases like in the case of women applicants opting for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service) whereas the chest measurement & weight is required and more important in qualifying for these posts are not needed for the women applicant that said in the given certificate.
iii. The candidates who do not give a Physical Qualifications Certificate with other documents when they are called for. They are not eligible for the appointment of these posts such as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service).
The aspirants who get successful appointments for the posts like Deputy Collector must full fill the criteria of the Medical Board in Tamil Nadu by giving his/her physique, fitness, and capacity for active outdoor work.
The applicant qualified and appointed for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service) must full fill the criteria of the Medical Board in Tamil Nadu by giving his/her physique, fitness, and capacity for active outdoor work and must give a proper certification by the Superintendent of Government Opthalmic Hospital in Chennai that he or she is total all right in his or her body fitness and has perfect eye vision prescribed in the TNPSC Group 1 Recruitment guidelines without the use of contact glasses.
If aspirants have vision defects then he or they should upload their eye fitness certification from an experienced eye specialist. The eye specialist is also called at the time of appointed to examine his/her eyesight and also check other documents.
vii. Once the candidates are selected by the Commission for the posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Cat.I) and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Service) based on their talent and option but fail to give a Physical Qualification certificate and fail to full fill the criteria of Medical Board in Tamil Nadu will be forfeit from their selection and they are not allowed for these posts.
Certificate of Physical Fitness:
Candidates selected for the post of Group-I Services have to give a certificate of physical fitness that is mentioned below here for their appointment:-
